Recently it seems more and more articles are surfacing covering the all too enticing topic of the 20 somethings. Several of these articles are the product of The New York Times, some the spawn born in response to the New York Times. Form wherever they were born, there are certainly many. And I am obsessed with each.
Perhaps that is because I am a 20 something in the midst of my quarter-life crisis, seeking to answer the 5 w’s and the h. But, from what I’ve read this is common, so no, I am not among the outliers- I am a representative of the mass, the hoi polloi.
Which should perhaps leave me feeling as merely an integer. However, I am delighted that so many studies have been conducted on my behalf, as though I were the chief subject discussed throughout so many publications. And, reading each and every articles referring to these generation x, peter pan-ers, I am provided with the opportunity to self psycho-analyze- in case I had not yet done so for the day.
To be among a group and hear the chants, the analysis, the maternal judging, I am listed alongside my peers and I proudly accept my place. I am a 20 something.
