The 20 somethings
Recently it seems more and more articles are surfacing covering the all too enticing topic of the 20 somethings. Several of these articles are the product of The New York Times, some the spawn born in response to the New York Times. Form wherever they were born, there are certainly many. And I am obsessed with each.
Perhaps that is because I am a 20 something in the midst of my quarter-life crisis, seeking to answer the 5 w’s and the h. But, from what I’ve read this is common, so no, I am not among the outliers- I am a representative of the mass, the hoi polloi.
Which should perhaps leave me feeling as merely an integer. However, I am delighted that so many studies have been conducted on my behalf, as though I were the chief subject discussed throughout so many publications. And, reading each and every articles referring to these generation x, peter pan-ers, I am provided with the opportunity to self psycho-analyze- in case I had not yet done so for the day.
To be among a group and hear the chants, the analysis, the maternal judging, I am listed alongside my peers and I proudly accept my place. I am a 20 something.

Clearly Perez Hilton is always “in the know,” so if he says these couples are the Power Couples of Malibu- than they must be. And we must discover what they’re doing right!
Perez Hilton has just informed us that Mr. Katy Perry will be giving up in London villa in favor of a New York homestead as he makes the transition from playboy to husband. Definitely adorable, and awe inspiring. 
Everyone gets excited about the prospect of being in love, of feeling something that can be described by no other sentiment than ‘wonderful.’ But, before you marry him- are you certain that he really has the characteristics that will matter for generations to come?

Certainly we all have lists, and a few of us have long long lists, but here is Russell Brand demonstrating why we should only keep the deal breakers and throw out the rest.
For all of you who are sitting cell phone in hand, watching for that screen to light up so you can look down and read “1 new message” this article is for you. Because the key to keeping those “new messages” rolling in may just require you putting down the phone…and walking away.
